I’m sharing my 2025 holiday gift guide for the kids this year! We tend to stick to the buying strategy of: « Something they want, something they need, something to wear, and something to read. »
Hello friends! Happy Wednesday! I hope you are doing well and that your week leading up to Thanksgiving is going well. I have a long list of things to do this week, but I’m sneaking out for a yoga class with a friend.
I’m really excited about today’s gift guide because kids really do bring the magic of Christmas. I’m basically like Buddy the Elf and I thought nothing could make the season more enjoyable… and then we had kids. They just add to all the magic of the holidays. We’re wrapping up our holiday shopping early, so I wanted to throw some ideas out in case you’re doing the same.
When shopping for the holidays for the kids, we keep things simple. They get their presents from Santa and stockings and then from us we stick to ‘something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read’. This checks all the major boxes and keeps things from getting too bananas with gifts from my parents and their other relatives. (Another hack: any presents that aren’t opened in the first few days are stored in the playroom. I bring them out on a rainy day or when the kids say they’re looking for something to do.)

Today, I’m sharing some of the items on their personal wish lists, along with tried and true favorites. I’d love to hear your kids’ gift requests in the comments and any ideas you have! This gift is aimed at all ages – from toddlers to older children. For teenagers, check out this year’s gift guide for kids. All my gift guides are here and in my ShopMy for easy access!
