The Bundesliga

In a thrilling Bundesliga clash, newly crowned champions Bayern came from three goals down against Mainz to win 4-3.

Dominic Cor, Paul Nebel and Sheraldo Becker put the hosts in command at the break at the Mewa Arena.

However, second-half goals from Nicolas Jackson, Michael Oliseh, Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane turned the game on its head and moved Vincent Kompany’s title holders 18 points clear of second-placed Borussia Dortmund.

Meanwhile, Leverkusen’s hopes of securing a place in Europe for next season received a boost after they beat Cologne 2-1 thanks to Patrick Schick.

The Czech striker scored first from the penalty spot before scoring again after the break to secure victory, although Luka Waldschmid pulled one back with less than 15 minutes to go.

League 1

After Lens drew on Friday, PSG had the opportunity to build a six-point lead at the top of Ligue 1, which they took full advantage of, comfortably beating Angers 3-0 despite finishing the match with a man down.

Kang-in Lee opened the scoring for the French champions and Seni Mayulu doubled the lead.

Lucas Beraldo added a third before Goncalo Ramos was sent off with just over a quarter of an hour remaining.

Lyon beat Auxerre in their bid to chase second-placed Lance thanks to a goal from Roman Yaremchuk and a goal from Corentin Tolisso in a 3-2 win.

Sinali Diomande and Brian Oko scored for Auxerre.

The league

with Barcelona win as well as securing the La Liga title, Atlético Madrid were hoping to deal with third-placed Villarreal and did so after a 3-1 win over Athletic Club.

Aitor Paredes gave Ateltic the lead but second-half goals from Antoine Griezmann and a brace from Alexandre Sorlot reversed the tie.

Gorka Guruzeta pulled one back late on, but it was too late for Athletic.

Elsewhere, Valencia beat Girona 2-1 while Alaves beat Mallorca by the same scoreline.

Series A

In the Italian league, Roma continued to secure a place in Europe for next season with a 2-0 win over Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Aston Villa loanee Donyel Mullen opened the scoring for the visitors after just seven minutes, finishing well after being unmarked in the box.

The Netherlands international was then instrumental in the second before half-time, providing a superb cross off the boot for Neil El Ainaoui to tap in to give Roma all three points and leapfrog Como, who have a game in hand, into fifth.
