Scotland strives to keep its place in the highest level of the National League when they take Greece in the first game of their playoff to promote/fall on Thursday.
Steve Clark’s tartan army intends to spray at the highest level of international football after reaching the last two European championships, but will have to remain in League A if they want to keep their reputation before the World Cup qualifications.
By the last three campaign games, the Scots seemed to be an immediate return to the second level after losing each of their first five games.
But after raising their first point in aimless draw with Portugal in October, midfielder John McGin inspired the victories over Croatia and Poland to secure third place in A1.
Greece also has a goal to reach the highest level for the first time, although after being unhappy to graduate as runners-up in League B2, coinciding with the record of England of five wins and one defeat.
This even tilted an impressive victory over the three Wembley Lions, and after winning six of their last seven in all competitions, they will be confident when they welcome the Scots.

Vangelis Pavlidis will Spearheard Attack in Greece after scoring 20 goals in all Benfica competitions this season and will be supported by the Brugge Brugge Christos Tzolis striker, which is regular in the Champions League this season.

This should be a difficult tie for Scotland over two legs and a victory away from home in the first game looks like a high order.
We expect a draw, leaving all this to play in the second game.
