Alfonso Davis has committed his future on Bayern Munich by signing a new contract with the Bundesliga champions.
After the deal was announced on Tuesday, it effectively terminated Real Madrid’s prolonged interest in the Canadian star.
The new agreement will be held by Davis of the Allianz Arena by the end of the 2029-30 season, noting what a 11-year management can be with if he sees the full contract.
« I am very happy to have extended my contract at this great club, » Davis says in a statement.
« I came to FC Bayern when I was 18 and I just wanted to learn as much as possible every day to become one of the best in my position. Now I’m looking forward to another five years together. I have already achieved a lot here, but it is yet to come. «
Davis’s decision to remain in a strike by Real Madrid, who wanted to provide the services of the 24-year-old left back.

His previous contract was due to expire in June 2025 and Madrid hoped to negotiate a transfer fee or bring him to a free transfer this summer.
Despite Madrid’s interest, Bayern was determined to keep Davis, offering him an increased contract to secure his stay in Munich.
« Alfonso Davis has become one of the best players in the world in his position in Bayern and has attracted a lot of interest, » said Bayern Sports Director Christoph Freond.
« The fact that he wants to continue here with us shows Bayern’s status in international football and that Alfonso has found his sports home in Munich. »
This season, Davis has participated in 16 Bundesliga games under the coach Vincent Company, once he finds the net while helping Bayern maintain his place at the top of the table.
Initially, Davis joined Bayern from Vancouver Wykaps in 2019 and has since become one of the world’s best countries.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid continues to seek reinforcements on the left because of the uncertainty about Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia.
The Spanish giants have a history of providing the best talents of free transfers, with the latest examples, including Killian Mbape in 2024, Antonio Rudiger in 2022 and David Alaba of Bayern in 2021.
