Blaugrana moves two points behind Laliga leaders

Barcelona provided a decisive 4-1 victory over Seville, although he dropped to 10 men in the second half.

Goals by Robert Lewandowski, Fermin Lopez, Rafinha and Eric Garcia sealed the three points for the visitors, while Ruben Vargas in Seville had restored parity for a short time in the first half.

The first half continued at a frantic pace, with the two sides creating chances. Lamin Yamal was a constant threat, forcing Nyland to save a spectacular rescue, while Szczesny was equally busy, denying Lukebakio’s bold kick just before the break.

Both teams suffered frightens of injuries, such as Ronald Araujo and Gavi raised strokes, which led to the early replacement of the Uruguaya defender.

Xavi made a key tactical switch to the half by replacing Gavi with Fermin Lopez, a move that paid instant dividends.

Seville pushed forward in search of a leafer, but struggles to break through a disciplined back line of Barcelona. Their task was facilitated in the 62nd minute when Fermin switched from a villain character, receiving a direct red card for a reckless challenge for Djibril Sow Studs-up.

With Barcelona up to 10 men, Seville pressed the pitch higher, but there was no final pass to create clear opportunities.

Visitors defended themselves decisively and against running the game put the game in bed in the 55th minute. Pa Cubarsi played a simple pass to Rafinha, who woven through Seville’s defense before unleashing a stunning blow in the far corner, making 3-1.

Seville threw everything forward in the final stages, with Suso approaching, but Szczesny stood firmly to deny the hosts.

Eric Garcia rounded a successful night, scoring in the final minutes to make 4-1.
