Conte’s side record of a huge victory in Serie A

Napoli provided a decisive 2-1 victory over AK Milan at Diego Armando Maradona to move three points from the top of Serie A.

Milan declined to retreat and finally found a breakthrough in the 84th minute. Hernandez, influential down the left flank, delivered a low cross in the six-yard box, where Jovic reacted fastest to direct the ball into the net.

As the match came in in the stop time, Milan continued to threaten. Leo was highly engaged in a dangerous stroke of Di Lorenzo, but the free kick was well protected.

Chukwueze had a delayed shot blocked, and despite overtaking his opponents at the expected goals (2.69 to 0.96), Milan could not find the decisive second goal.

The victory guarantees that Napoli remains second in Serie A, Milan, in the meantime, remain in ninth place and will quickly have to transfer their focus to their semi -final clash on COPPA Italia against Inter Wednesday before meeting in the Fiorentina league on Saturday.
