David Coote

David Kut, supported by the former Premier League referee after admitting struggles for sexuality

Former Premier League Referee Mark Halsey claims that David Kuta’s sexuality has been found a secret among his colleagues and says the 42-year-old deserves a second chance.

Coote was fired from the professional matches of Limited (PGMOL) matches in December after a video of it appeared, using a disregarding language to Liverpool and former club manager Jurgen Klop.

He is still under an UEFA investigation after a second clip showed him that she has been snoring cocaine while working at the European Championship last summer.

Coote acknowledges a bad choice

Coote made an apology to the sun last night, in which he admitted that he was struggling for gay, he meant he was not « in a great place » and led to some « really bad choices ».

He said, « My sexuality is not the only reason that made me be in this position. But I do not tell an authentic story, if I do not say that I am gay and that I have had real struggles to hide it.

« I hid my emotions as a young ref. And I also hid my sexuality – good quality as a judge, but a terrible quality as a human being. And that led me to a whole course of behavior. «

In the video that saw him call Klopp AC ***, he said: « I admit that they (his remarks) failed by the standards expected by the highest level referee and deeply sorry that I said I said What I said. Comments do not reflect my views on any of my respective people or my wider views as a whole. «

Coote has also been accused of discussing with a friend the potential for showing a yellow card of Leeds Ezjan Alioski before a game against West Brom in 2019.

However, he insisted: « There was no agreement before the game. I went and did my job. The player has made a yellow card fee. I didn’t get anything about it.

« I am really disappointed that something like this came out because it diminishes the integrity of the game. And whatever people think of me as a referee, as a person I have always come out and have done everything I can on the field.

« I was not in a great place and made messages to people who didn’t have to trust in the background. I was naive. (I) I made some really bad choices and I really want to be able to return the watch now and do things differently. «

He assumes responsibility – Halsei

Halsei, who withdrew from refereeing in 2013, after a 14-year career in the Premier League, said Kut’s honesty should be recognized.

He told the BBC Radio 5 Live: “When he goes out and take full responsibility for his actions, he is not justified, he takes full responsibility.

« He is human, we all make mistakes in life. They all make mistakes in life and deserve a second chance and no one should go through what David goes through. Really, I really feel about him. When the referees come together, we all said things about players or managers. «

Coote has received threats online and Halces said he could sympathize after also suffering from the hands of trolls during his career.

« He has made some mistakes and does not deserve the threats of death, » he added. « I used to have threats to death against my family, my wife who is fighting leukemia. They wanted to see us dead with the cancer, who returned. Some of the things they wanted to do with my little daughter were just terrifying. «

« We all knew about David’s sexuality »

Asked what the reaction would be if Kut came out as a gay, while he was still judging, Hali replied: « It would be very difficult. It should not be so. We all knew (fellow referees) about David’s sexuality. It didn’t bother us. He was a man, he was a nice man, so what about his sexuality. So, what? It’s all about sharing love and understanding people and what they go through.

« Society today, it stinks and it is good that David has made his friends and family show him the love and companionship he needs to overcome it through it. I hope PGMol helps him through that. «
