England midfielder joined Marseille

Angel Gomes is ready to join Marseille after leaving my fellow French country Lille.

The former Manchester United young man, who won four hats for England, was linked to West Ham and Tottenham, but has chosen Marseille, where he will contact another former United Mason Greenwood player.

The 24-year-old can also join Burnley’s CJ Egan-Riley of Stade Velodrome after Clares confirmed that the defender had rejected the proposal for a new deal at Turf Moor.

Marseille’s statement reads: « Olympique de Marsille announces that he has generally reached an agreement with Angel Gomez on the arrival of the English International midfielder in the club. »

Egon-Rayley impressed as Bernley provided a promotion back in the Premier League last season, but was also without a contract this summer.

The Lankashir country wanted the 22-year-old to stay, but accepted that he wanted to continue.

They confirmed the departure of the center of the center in a statement that directed him to an unnamed Ligue 1. It is widely claimed to be Marseille.

The statement added: « The Bernley Football Club may confirm that it has been informed by CJ Egan-Riley representatives that the U-21 international defender of England has already officially rejected the club’s proposal for a significant long-term contract with the club.

« Despite the club’s commitment to ensure the long -term future of CJ and the essential investment, CJ decided to pursue an opportunity in France. »
