After beating Nepal and Scotland on both sides and losing to the West Indies in the T20 World Cup, England’s clash with Italy on Monday looks like a must-win for both sides.
England will most likely go level if they lose, while Italy can guarantee passage by winning and then beating the West Indies.
« We haven’t played our best cricket yet but we’re in a strong position, » England captain Harry Brooke said, via ESPN.
« World Cups don’t always go smoothly. We’d rather not start amazing and end amazing than start amazing and end badly. »

Brook called Tom Banton « awesome » after his unbeaten 63 in a nervy win with 10 balls to spare over Scotland.
« I’m glad we crossed the line, » admitted Brooke. « We haven’t had such a perfect game yet. They’ve all been a bit flimsy so far.
« Hopefully we can have an easier game against Italy and play our best cricket that everyone knows and loves. We can put some smiles on some faces at home and get through the group stage. »
Italy lost to Scotland by 73 runs but secured a first finals win on their tournament debut with a 10-wicket victory over Nepal in their second match.
« We’re underdogs every time we play, no matter who we play – whether it’s Nepal, Scotland, England or the West Indies, » argued captain Harry Manenti.
« We will always be the underdogs that we cheer and love. If we are timid against the big boys, then we don’t stand a chance.
« We have to really try to bring it to them. We took some lessons from the way Nepal played against England.
« They took the game to them and you saw it was really interesting to watch, actually: when you put your favorite team under pressure, they don’t play well either. »
England are likely to field an unchanged squad again, while captain Wayne Madsen remains out for Italy with a dislocated shoulder.
England: Phil Salt, Jos Buttler (wk), Jacob Bettel, Tom Banton, Harry Brook (c), Sam Curran, Will Jacks, Liam Dawson, Jamie Overton, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid
Italy: Anthony Mosca, Justin Mosca, JJ Smuts, Harry Manenti (c), Ben Manenti, Marcus Campopiano, Grant Stewart, Gian-Pierro Mead (wk), Jaspreet Singh, Krishan Kalugamaj, Ali Hassan

England they should get a great win but expect a fearless Italian side to remind us of the way they got past Nepal.
Brothers Justin and Anthony Mosca have shown they are capable of causing significant problems, but England’s batting depth through Phil Salt, Jos Buttler and Jacob Bettel and the bowling attack – including Jofra Archer and Adil Rashid – are formidable.
