Sharing details about upcoming Dr. Cabral 7 Day Detox. Share details here and how to join if you want!
Hello friends! How’s your morning going? I hope you are enjoying the long weekend! I got back from San Diego and got right back into activities: basketball games, family outings, ice cream and pizza night. It was perfect.
It’s hard to believe that the holidays go by so quickly and we’re back into the school year. To be perfectly honest, I’ve been slow going this year. It’s taken me longer to get back into the swing of things – I FINALLY got my 2026 planner out last week – and in case many of you feel the same way, I thought we’d wait until we started our Fitness Community Detox.

I feel SO GREAT after each one and since it’s been a few months I’m ready for another round. Usually every January I do some sort of reset. Sometimes I cut out sugar and alcohol completely for the month, other times I’ll just focus on solid food. Since I started doing this detox years ago, it’s something I look forward to every quarter.
It’s amazing to get back into the habit of eating (and craving) vegetables and fresh foods, especially after the joyous avalanche of holiday sweets and cocktails.
Moderation is my jam now, especially since the days of deprivation are long gone. If I want something sweet or something nicer, I eat it and enjoy every bite. It’s been a couple of festive months and I’m feeling a little down and craving sugar more than usual. Usually by the time the New Year rolls around, I’m looking forward to getting back to more *normal* eating. I like to start it off with a little reset and my favorite strategy is this functional liver detox.
SO many of you joined me last time, so I wanted to invite you to join if you want to go for another round. The the fun begins on February 2ndso you can order your kit now and you’ll be ready to go!

– This is a liver detox to help reset your body, provide a break from digesting heavy foods, and potentially help your body eliminate toxins we accumulate from the environment. It includes functional medicinal ingredients and Ayurvedic herbs to support phase 1 and 2 liver detoxification.
– It is focused on nutrition. It includes the POWERHOUSE Daily Nutritional Support powder (which I’ve had in my daily protein pudding for years and I’ve noticed a huge difference in how I feel when I include it) and nutritional guidelines for the rest of the meals. The goal is to NOT deplete your body of nutrients during the process.
– Can potentially help with weight losstogether with anti aging and general body health.
– It’s only 7 days! When I first started working with a naturopath (back in the day! It was like 2010), he had me do a month-long detox that was similar in format (but didn’t include the Ayurvedic supplements).
It’s so much easier to do it for 7 days and I feel like my results were even better with the extra nutritional support. (The first two days are just supplements and smoothies—I usually add some berries—and on day 3 you add in nutrient-dense meals using their meal guidelines/template.) It’s also very flexible; many people skip the fast days and start the plan on day 3 (smoothie in the morning, vegan lunch, paleo dinner) and have excellent results.

1) N-acetyl cysteine (NAC), which can stimulate the production of glutathione in the body
2) Glutathione, which is an antioxidant that can help heal and detoxify the liver
3) Broccophane, an antioxidant that can improve the liver’s ability to detoxify
4) Alpha lipoic acid, another antioxidant that can improve detoxification
5) Triphala, a trifecta of Ayurvedic herbs that can aid detoxification and digestion
6) Vitamins and minerals that support the body and help close nutritional gaps
This one-stop shop for vitamins, minerals, proteins, electrolytes and antioxidants is the heart and soul of Dr.Cabral Detox. With 15 grams of vegan protein, Daily Nutritional Support provides your body with much-needed energy and nutrients as your body begins to rid itself of toxins.
Using the latest research in functional medicine, FM Detox provides the compounds needed to support both phases of liver detoxification. Essential amino acids, antioxidants, and plant extracts like milk thistle help the body trap and move toxins to the liver, where they can be metabolized and removed during phase two. Ingredients like dandelion root extract help produce bile, which aids elimination. As a diuretic, dandelion root increases the water supply to the liver, which facilitates the elimination of toxins in the urine.
Incorporating ancient Ayurvedic healing traditions that support optimal detoxification, AM Detox helps start the detoxification process. Various diuretics move water into the liver and increase the solubility of toxins. Triphala, the combination of three plants: Emblica Officinalis, Terminalia bellerica and Terminalia chebula, have been studied for their role in gastrointestinal health. When used together, this powerful trio is supposed to promote the growth of beneficial gut microbes Bifidobacteria and Lactobacillus while inhibiting the growth of unwanted strains.

– As someone who has had gallbladder problems in the past (which I was able to resolve on my own), I always like to give my liver extra support. I no longer have gallbladder pain at all (I think stopping the fake meats helped with that too) and since my first detox, it’s something I’ve continued to do every quarter.
– My energy might be a little low on the first day, but by the second afternoon, I feel amazing. I’m energized, focused, my skin is glowing and I feel great.
– It’s usually a very light month for my cycle. I don’t have any cramping or PMS symptoms, and I’ve learned that the months when I’m more strategic with my workouts, sleep, stress relief, and nutrition, my cycles go smoothly at their best.
« It resets my taste buds. » When I have more sugar in my diet, things like fruit and salad start to taste muted to me. By taking things back to basics, it awakens my senses to the taste of food that I enjoy, and I can once again fully enjoy my food and be present during meals.
– I don’t weigh myself regularly, but I noticed that my clothes fit better after a full detox. I feel less swollen and inflamed. You can read my recap of one of my first detoxes plus the recipes I used here!
– you currently have or are recovering from an eating disorder. Keep working on improving your relationship with food and your health and know that I am happy for you and sending you my love and support.
– you are training for a strenuous event or need to maintain a super active lifestyle. For days 1-2 you want to take it easy (walking, stretching, light yoga or nothing). If you are unable to do this, you can do a modified version of the detox by having smoothies for breakfast and lunch, and then eating nutrient-dense dinners. Let me know if you have any questions about how to do this!
– You have health problems that would prevent you from joining.
****As always, consult your doctor before making any fitness or nutrition changes. Respect your body.*****
