‘Got separated because I’m an idiot’: Man loses a lot of paid work to « late for telework », doom scrolling

After spending daily at jobs a year, the man eventually dropped a high salary remote role in his dream industry. But over the months, his late -night scroll method paid him everything.

In the Reddit message, the employee admitted, « I got rid of because I’m an idiot. » He revealed that he often stays in text messages and rolling, causing him to sleep for 10 to 15 minutes for a few days. Although the delays were short, they occurred several times – and drew the attention of his leader.

When asked, he claimed that the technical questions were guilty. He said the lie closed his fate. « I was separated and I feel absolutely loser. »

He admitted that an emotional toll has been difficult: « The pain of losing dream work has really come to me emotionally. » Despite the confession of the mistake, he called himself a « idiot » several times in the mail. He also said that his career is of interest in the airline or in the automotive industry.

The story quickly became viral on Reddit, and many weighed both his actions and the end result. One user comments: « I know someone who had a 40 -minute commute and always appeared early. Then they moved in two blocks and were constantly late. »

The other reminded, « I knew someone who was late on his WFH days so often, he had to put on a pip … part of his pip was that he had to go to the office in time for a month. »

Another user teases: « May this be an expensive lesson. Go ahead and do better is all you can do now. »

When they ponder the same idea, another user said, « It’s a lying. You and it shows a lack of integrity of many employers. You have to address why the first thought when you do something wrong, are lying or to admit a fault. Work when you are looking for jobs.
