How amazing was this episode of « the last of us »?

When you finished the crying of your eyes, we decided it might be an appropriate time to talk about the worst episode of The last of usS The penultimate sixth episode was just released on HBO and was incredible. We will have our full, traditional summary on Monday, but we had to give in every place to comed down and discuss it before, with full spoilers unleashed.

In the episode of this week called the « price », we finally need to see Eli’s birthday gift, the unforgettable lightning scene of The last of us part II. And from the careful eye of the franchise creator and the director of the episode Neil Drukman, he complied with his predecessor. But by building this, the episode made many steps further, creating scenes specifically made for the show, such as Eli’s birthdays before and after the museum.

Then, in the end, things got caught by the show’s timeline, caught up with the first episode of the second season, and revealed that before Joel died, Eli found out. He finally realized that Joel had killed everyone in Salt Lake City’s hospital in a selfish act to save his life, sacrificing the life of, well, the world. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay absolutely killed the scene – without pun – as after years of tension, Joel and Eli finally clean up and agree to forgive.

Which, of course, now we know from the show, is basically the last time they have ever talked. It’s a heavy, heavy episode and it’s before you talk about the entire storyline involving Eugene, played by Joe Pantoliano, as well as for this first flashback by young Joel and Tommy with their father, played by Hoki Star Tony Dalton.
