Lee Karsley acknowledged her powerlessness after his country of England under 21 was held at aimless equality from Slovenia this afternoon.
The young lions started slowly, but then only dominated a series of fine rescutions from goalkeeper Martin Turk, who holds England for a distance.
Turk’s best rescue came in the second half injury time, leaning Jack Hinchelwood’s header over the bar.

Karsley said on Channel 4: « It was disappointing. It wasn’t about the desire of the effort, we just missed a little quality at times. We had some really good chances and if we had taken one of them, I think we would have won the game comfortably.
« We have to give Slovenia as well.
« We didn’t start quickly and were under pressure in the first 15 minutes. It was important not to admit, so it was a real positive. »
England already has four points from its two games in Group B and knows a point against Germany on Wednesday will be enough to see them.
« The goal is to qualify for the group and we’re still on the course, » Karsley added. « It is really important for players to recover; I think we will definitely refresh the German game team. »
Captain James Makati also quickly focused his attention to the German game.
« We are disappointed, we came here to win, but this is a point and we are still responsible, » said Manchester City midfielder.
« I don’t think we were in the overall game, these were just the chances – I missed a few, there were some great rescue from the goalkeeper. The other day we were three points.
« We will come back now and communicate, see our families for a while and be ready for the next game. »
