Jack Wilshire was confirmed this morning as the new League One Side Luton Town manager.
The former midfielder of England began in Luton as a young boy before moving to Arsenal, with whom he made almost 200 appearances before spells with West Ham, Bournemut and AGF Aard.
The 33 -year -old Wilsher told the club’s official website: « This is a huge honor and privilege of being called Luton Town’s manager.
« It feels like a full -circle moment for me. I was eight when I first came to Luton as a boy, so I guess you can say that my first management position of the club is in this club is in this club.
« I couldn’t be glad to be here – I can’t wait to manage this football club. »
Wilshere inspired by Luton Story
Passing from the Neliga to the Premier League before suffering back from back, Hatters are now 11th in the third level of English football.
« The story of this club inspires me, » added Wilsher, who replaces Matt Bloomfield in the role. « Built in faith, unity and hard work.
« The club has shown an incredible character on and off the pitch lately, and it is an honor for me to take the responsibility of leading this group into the future.
« There is so much of the season that I still play about and I am excited about getting involved and putting my own seal on things and moving this club forward in a positive direction.

Piercing movement in the name of Powell as an assistant
Wilshe will be assisted by an extremely experienced Chris Powell.

« It was during his training with our first team in The Braache in the summer of 2022 that he furnished with the club and realized that it was correct to follow his coaching path, which returned him to Arsenal, where the world, of course, saw him pass as a talent to the midfielder.
« Luton has always been part of his trip and as a club known for giving young coaches to break in management, we are so pleased to meet him back.
« He already knows a number of our squad, and as a board we are all excited by the prospect of seeing progress in his career with someone who is respected in the game like Chris. »
Wilshe will take responsibility for Hatters for the first time when they host Mansfield on Saturday.
