Paris Saint-Germain vs Toulouse: Lineups, Stats and Preview

Paris Saint Germain can at least temporarily stretch their advantage at the top of League 1 to four points when they welcome Toulouse to the Parc des Princes.

PSG have a one-point lead over surprise title contenders Lens, who have played a game less.

And they have a chance to put pressure on Les Sang et Or ahead of Saturday’s Derby du Nord clash with Lille.

Luis Enrique’s men are expected to cruise to victory against Toulouse, although the PSG coach may have one eye on next week’s Champions League quarter-final first leg with Liverpool as he considers his squad selection.

After back-to-back wins over Metz and Lorient, Toulouse have an outside chance of European qualification.

They are nine points behind sixth-placed Monaco, who beat PSG 3-1 in their last Ligue 1 match at the Parc des Princes.

That upset could give Toulouse hope, although a 6-3 defeat in the second leg and a miserable record in that game for the visitors will see them travel to the capital with limited expectations.

However, with Monaco facing Marseille on Sunday, Toulouse could give their aspirations a stunning boost if they can find a way to exploit the vulnerabilities of a PSG side that has shown it will afford opponents both in the league and in Europe.
