« This is their Cup finale »

Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dick says it would also be difficult to beat Everton in the Cup Finals.

The Reds and Toface played a thriller in the final clash in Goodison Park before Everton moved to his new stadium next season.

Liverpool had a 2-1 lead in the final seconds of the match, but was stunned by late, the late James Tarkovsky Vlley in the 98th minute, although only five were added initially.

The long review of VAR allowed the target to stand by igniting chaos on the pitch and off the pitch.

As the full -time whistle blown away, Abdulay Dukure sprinted and celebrated in front of the traveling support of Liverpool and was closely followed by the fierce Curtis Jones, who came into scrap with the midfielder.

As a result, both players were sent, with Arne Slot also shown red for some words said that Referee Michael Oliver after the whistle.

Reflecting on the game, Van Deik admitted that it was a difficult night, but Everton would always make it difficult in what he called their biggest game for the season.

He said, « Intensely, it would always be intense. Many battles. Very disappointing to retreat in the last second of the game or even for extra time, but that’s it. It is not easy to accept it, especially the way, but we accept it and move on.

« I think the referee played a big role in the game today in terms of certain challenges were given as fouls, and the like they were not. After all, it’s just disappointing to give way to a very good blow, but disappointing.

« This is their cup final and they would try to do their best to make it difficult for us. This is a big impetus for them, but for us.

« We have many games until international vacation. We put each other in a very good position and this comes down to hard work, quality and consistency. We just have to look at ourselves, don’t look at what others do, just try to focus on ourselves and be the best version of ourselves.

« We have put ourselves in a good position, let’s continue. »

Van Deik also commented on Tiza between Jones and Dukure, turning his finger again to the Oliver referee.

He added: « We saw how they celebrate the goal, they have everything right.

« I think Abdulay Dukure wanted to provoke our fans, I think I saw it and Curtis Jones didn’t think it was the right thing. And then you know what happens if there is a little shaking.

« I didn’t think the referee had controlled the game. Both teams had to deal with it. «
