Rachel Reimer believes that the body can develop physical symptoms (acute or chronic) when unresolved emotional stress is present. Instead of rationalizing that an emotional stressor « isn’t that bad, » Rachel has found that talking about stress can sometimes help the body feel/function better. During the session, Rachel’s goal is to fully understand your physical anxiety, help identify what specific emotional stress she thinks may be associated with the physical anxiety (if any), and then help you work through the unresolved emotional stress; in the hope that the physical body begins to function and feel better.
