“We can do something amazing”

Manager Javier Mascherano insists that his country in Inter Miami can do « something incredible » after Lionel Messi created a moment of magic, as the MLS team came back against Porto to take his first win at the 2025 World Cup.

The result means that Mascherano’s side is on the verge of progressing to the knockout phase and Miami’s boss could not hide his fun after the match.

« The boys made a fantastic show, » Mascherano told Dazn. « They really worked, really strongly against a team that has a lot of quality.

« But today we can show the world and to ourselves that we can compete against any team.

« The players realized that they could do it that they could work together. When we are together, we can do something amazing.

« It’s great for the US people to see our team competing in this type of tournament. »

Then for Mascherano, Messi and CO. is a reflection with the Brazilian side of Palmeiras, who earlier won 2-0 against Al Ahli with a teenager associated with Chelsea, Estevao on the side.
