« We phast this » – Bologna Boss Italiana Jubilant after a glass of Italy triumph

Bologna Vincenzo Italiano manager called Coppa Italia’s triumph on his team « incredible » and announced his players « exceptional » after I Rosulu beat Milan 1-0 to finish a 51-year-old trophy waiting.

Attacker Dan Ndo has scored what turned out to be the winning goal eight minutes after the half, as Bologna lifted Coppa Italia for the third time in the history of the club and their first 1974.

Milan was looking for an internal double after their victory at the Supercoppa Italiana earlier in the season, but it was a night that eventually belonged to Italiano, who, after two final damage to the conference league and the last loss of Coppa Italia as a Fiorentina manager, got the most.

And the importance of the occasion was certainly not lost by the boss of Bologna, who is struggling to hide his admiration full -time.

« After some disappointments, I think we deserved this, especially when we played a great game tonight. It was an incredible performance, we realized again what Milan would do in the second half, so we answered, » Italiano said.

« This incredible year is crowned with this trophy that deserves these fans. »

Talking about their three previous final hearts, Italiano said: “They were also three very big disappointments.

« I didn’t honestly didn’t think I could go back there and win it, but I did it. I dedicate it to those guys who are exceptional. »

The 47-year-old also dedicated the victory of the late Joe Barone, the director in Fiorentina, who in 2024 received a heart attack at the Team Hotel Hotel before the Serie A match and died in hospital a few days later.

« His son sent me a message this morning and I was extremely pleased, » Italiano said.

« We approached so close to lifting silver vessels with it and they mean a lot to me. »
