X now allows the selected creators to upload videos in 4K resolution as it seeks to strengthen their engagement and prevent users from leaving YouTube or Vimeo from watching videos. The feature will soon be accessible to all premium subscribers, according to a post from X.
So far, paying subscribers can upload 1080p videos up to 8 GB of approximately three hours with a length, according to the X support page. But with the entry resolution 4K input, the platform may change the limitation of subscribers.
X is trying to attract users to publish more video content since Elon Musk bought the company, gradually increasing the limits for uploading subscribers.
The platform also introduced a special issue for vertical videos full of the shortcut on the homepage of its mobile applications, earlier this year, trying to take advantage of the uncertainty about the Tiktok ban in the US
