Germany star to become the fifth member of a club of £ 100m with a record deal

Liverpool are ready to complete the signing of German striker Florian Wirtz, after reports, the Premier League champions, have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for a deal worth 116 million pounds, including additives.

This move will see Liverpool break the British transfer record to acquire Wirtz, which was previously linked to Manchester City and Bayern Munich.

Wirtz has led 30 goals in each of the last two seasons. He dialed 37 in 2023-24, when Leverkusen won the double Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal and reached the Europa League final, where Atalanta’s defeat scored his only loss of the season.

Although Leverkusen did not win a large trophy in 2024-25, Wirtz participated in 30 goals in another star season. However, the size of the fee means that there is considerable pressure on his shoulders to deliver to Anfield.

But he is by no means the first player to join the Premier League club for a fee of at least £ 100 million.

In fact, four others did it, even though they enjoyed different levels of success.

Leaving his club for a boy was difficult for Zelish, but the move to City paid off as he gave seven trophies for the attacking midfielder.

Grilish won three Premier League titles with City, while tasting fame in the Champions League, FA Cup, the club’s world cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

He plays an important role in the 2022-23 winning season, registering 16 appearances in the goal.

However, he recently fell to the benefit of Pep Guardiola and seemed destined to leave the Etihad Stadium, with a seemingly possibility.

Fernandez is the man whom Wirtz will displace as a record holder when his transfer passes.

Chelsea signed it in February 2023 after Fernandez’s decisive role in the success of the Argentina World Cup in 2022.

He had fought to justify this expense in his first season and a half, but Fernandez’s wealth improved in his second full campaign.

The 24-year-old registered 22 goals in the goal in 2024-25 as Chelsea qualified for the Champions League and won the Conference League.

DECLAN RICE: West Ham to Arsenal – £ 105M (2023)

After asking for the conference league fame in his last season with The Hammers, Rice has not yet won a trophy with Arsenal.

However, this is not due to lack of experience on his part.

Rice has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the world during his time at the Emirates Stadium.

During two seasons he has 35 ready-made performances in all competitions, with the most memorable being the two free strokes, which he scored against Real Madrid in the quarterfinals of the Champions League this season.

His relocation to North London has been undeniable. All that is missing is the silver vessels.

Moises Caicedo: Brighton and Hove Albion to Chelsea – £ 100 million (2023)

The Ecuadorian was exceptional in 2022-23 for the seagulls, but initially struggled to make an impression on his arrival at the Stamford Bridge.

This changed in 2024-25, with Caicedo being decisive for the success of the Blue with his fighting in the midfielder.

Idisa Guee (181) is the only midfielder in the Premier League with a higher combined total teams and intercepts from Kaidodo (163).

Caicedo also did an excellent job in the progressive game, recording 235 passages in the last third, most of each midfielder in the division.

Still only 22, the signs are good, that Chelsea’s decision to spend such a huge amount on Kaido will be avenged.
