Who has Donald Trump’s ear in Iran?

Donald Trump weighed one of his biggest decisions – whether to launch Iran’s airfields – after the turmoil of the following weeks in his foreign policy team, including the removal of Mike Waltz, a national security adviser.

Fox News and other US President’s monitoring conservative media provided advice.

But who was Trump Listening to the oval in the office, where did he decide to go to war? His closest advisors are two Presidential potential followers, JD Vance and Marco Rubio, a real estate developer turned to Envoy Steve Witkoff and CIA Director John Ratcliffe.

On the sidelines was Tlsi Gabbard, Director of National Intelligence. Defense Minister Pete Heggeth seemed to be less influential than General Dan Caine, Chairman of Human Resources and General Michael Kuri, US Army Commander Close -up.

JD VANCE

Recently, in March, the 40-year-old vice-president of the US Army intervention throughout his short political career time-proofed privately that America is a « mistake » to hit Iran-supported Houthi rebels in Yemen.

But this week, Vance -So has a regular one-one connection to Trump and is considered a pioneer in the 2028 Republican presidential candidate for a possible attack on Iranian nuclear plants.

« Of course, people are really concerned about the foreign stuck after the last 25 years of idiotic foreign policy. But I believe the president has earned some confidence in this topic, » he wrote to X.

Marco Rubio

Former Florida Senator, 54, has quickly got Trump’s ear foreign policy in the early months of his second term. Rubio is not only the Secretary of State, but also replaced the waltz as an advisor to national security, which makes him a permanent lamp in a white house.

Rubio It has traditionally been barking in the US foreign interventions, but has adapted Trump to a more guard approach.

Of the cabinet secretaries, he has the largest national political profile and may be a competitor to Vance in 2028.

Steve Witkoff

Steve Witkoff, 68, has known Trump for decades as a New York real estate developer, business partner and golfer.

But despite his little diplomatic experience, Trump has assigned Witkoff to one of the most sensitive international issues in America with leading negotiations. Among them is Ukraine: Witkoff has traveled to Moscow and discussed with President Vladimir Putin to end the Russian attack on his neighbor.

As a Mideast ambassador, he has led the US delegation with Tehran over the last two months and is still in contact with Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghch. If Trump hits a late agreement to prevent war with Iran, the role of Witkoff is crucial. But he works without his former alternates Morgan Ortagus, who recently departed from the administration.

John Ratcliffe

When Trump convened his best advisor in Camp David in Iran this month, John Ratcliff, CIA, gave the most worrying assessment of Tehran intentions.

Ratcliffe, 59, is a well -known Iran Hawk, who dates back to the leader of his time in the first term of Trump.

In a closed session with the law enforcement officers, he compared Iranian nuclear power plants to an American football team that marched on the field and close to scoring, according to the Washington Post. « It’s like saying that the football team marched 99 yards on the field, reached one yard line, » he said.

Michael on the curb

US Army General Michael Kuri – known as « Erik » and nicknamed « Gorilla » – leaves his office as a commander of the US Central Commander who oversees Middle Eastern military operations in the summer three years later. But the impact of Kurilla on Trump’s thinking is not far from a decline.

In fact, the California -born General, who serves in Mosul in Iraq, is one of the most influential voices in the Iranian administration, given that he directs the operation alongside Israel to destroy Tehran nuclear power. He is known to be close to the Israeli army.

Mike Huckabee

When he turned to start a strike for Iranian nuclear plants this week, Trump sent the message from the US Ambassador to the US Israeli Mike Huckabee series to social. It said that no president was « in a position like you … – from Truman in 1945 »: a reference to the US leader who authorized Japan’s nuclear bombs at the end of World War II.

« You weren’t looking for this moment. This moment is looking for you! » Huckabee told Trump. He added, « I believe you hear from heaven and that sound is much more important than me or anyone else. »

Former Governor Huckabee of Arkansas is not only passionate about Israel, but represents Trump’s evangelical Christian base. There is a bark in Iran and drives the president to participate in the Israeli side.

And Caine

Trump rejected the General Dan Cain, 56, to replace General CQ Brown as chairman of the joint human resources manager or as the best army official of America and as an advisor to the president.

The Air Force pilot under the nickname « Razin », Caine patrolled Washington’s sky as a result of the attacks of September 11, and then served in Iraq.

But the most important feature that raised him in Trump has been his loyalty, so that the president not only is considering new military action in the nearby Earth, but also the greater use of US troops to stop demonstrations and combat immigration.

« I love you, the Lord. I think you are fine, sir I will kill you, the Lord, » Caine told Trump according to his president’s meeting in 2018.

Pete Heggeth

The 45-year-old Fox News host hardly survived his reinforcement voting in the US Senate and tried to stay in his job while sending sensitive information about military operations in Yemen to a signal group discussion with a supplier.

But Heggeeth is still responsible for Pentagon, although army leaders seem to advise Trump more closely on the strategy. The Minister of Defense calls for Trump all the plans and alternatives he needs to make his final decision to participate in the United States.

« In the Ministry of Defense, it is our job to be ready and prepared with the options. And that’s what we do, » he said this week at Capitol Hill’s hearing.

Tuli gabbard

The former Democratic congress of Hawaii became the Trump Ally campaign during the 2024 campaign as he tried to attract dissatisfied left -wing voters -especially with his promise to stop America’s « Forever Wars » season.

After ensuring the high profile of the National Intelligence Director, Gabbard, 44, is already hot in the water with the administration, and Trump has opened it openly after Iran had not started the core program.

« He’s wrong, » Trump said of Gabbard on Friday afternoon as he landed in New Jersey after the Washington flight. This week, the president said he would not « care » about what Gabbard said in Iran’s core program.
