#3 Ridge GoPher Tortoise Ridge and Big Cypress Loop in the Slough Slough Reserve (beginner/moderate)

This cycle is a well -maintained option for those looking for low impact but a long walk through nature. Circding the lake of that, the path cuts the cypress and maple marshes, which means that you will enjoy a lot of shade (as well as tranquility and silence).

#4 Timuquan Ravine Trail to the Spanish pond (beginner/moderate)

If you are looking for more than Indiana Jones-Snata Natural Walk, this path can be the one for you. No, you will not swing through the ravine with a rope (we promise!), But depending on the weather conditions, you can I want to wear their style of shoes.

Timuquan Ravine Trail curves through the swamp, which can get on and even flood after heavy rainfall. Aside, this is an excellent option if you go with friends or look for a hike with the aroma of adventure.

  • Distance – 6.1km
  • Elevation – mostly flat, with gentle profits
  • Estimated time to complete – 1 hour and 11 minutes

This path is also proud of many opportunities to enjoy Jacksonville Flora and Fauna, but you will want to be prepared for bugs as well. A bug spray is recommended as it strives for early start to avoid the warmth of the day!

#5 Julington Durbin Creek Reserve (beginner/moderate)

This beautiful Jacksonville reserve is located exactly where Jullington and Darbin Crex meet. It is open from sunrise to sunset, with easy parking and no entry fees.

You have two path options on the reserve itself:

  • White outline (short) -Sight and serene, the white contour takes a little less time, which makes it more suitable for a beginner version (and often a little more crowded). You will also find a lot of shade along the way as well as benches to rest and enjoy the landscape.
    • Distance – 6.3km
    • Elevation – mostly flat
    • Estimated time to complete – 1 hour and 9 minutes
  • Yellow and white contour (longer) – Think of this option as an unleashed version of the white contour. This walk takes just under 30 minutes more, but do not hesitate to walk at your own pace – there are many wild flowers, birds and wild animals to enjoy. After the rain, this path can be slightly muddy in places, but this is a well-maintained option if you are looking for a gorgeous 90-minute hike.

    • Elevation – mostly flat

#6 Jacksonville Baldwin Rail Trail (Moderate/Hard)

Honestly, Jacksonville – and the greater part of Florida – are not exactly known for mountain terrain. It is not always easy to find difficult paths in the area, but the length of the Baldwin railway makes it a more challenging march than others.
