The star casino in the Australian capital Sydney has expanded the suspension of the license for another six months.
The NSW (NICC) Independent Casino Commission extended the Star Sydney Casino Casino’s suspension for another six months after a similar extension was made in March. This means that the suspension will be in place at least on March 31, 2026.
Nicc also confirmed in an open letter on September 25 that this will extend the star’s manager Nick Wicks, who will continue to be supervised over casino operations. NICC Chief Commissioner Philip Crawford said in a statement that there is still too much uncertainty about the star to consider restoring his casino license at the moment.
« NICC considers it appropriate to continue with this Agreement so that it can better evaluate the effectiveness of important removal work and expect the results of other urgent financial issues about the star, » said G -C Croford. « Nicc understands the many challenges facing the star and carefully monitors the star’s progress as it works to prove that she is able to regain a casino license. »
The casino was supervised as his license was first suspended in October 2022, when the NICC ruled that the company was not suitable to have a casino license. This comes after the Star Entertainment group also faces serious financial obstacles.
