Bezos predicts that millions will live in space soon

Amazon founder Jeff Bezos made a rare public appearance on the Italian Technology Week in Turin on Friday and uses the opportunity to predict that millions of people will live in space « over the next few decades, » The Financial Times reports.

Speaking to John Elkan, Scion of Italy’s Agnelli Dynasty, Bezos, who also founded a rocket company Blue Origin, insisted that people would live in space « most because they want » and that robots will handle the runno work, while the huge AI sailing centers over the head.

The pronouncement sounds a bit like Bezos, trying to make your cosmic rival. Elon Musk spent years, predicting that people would colonize Mars and suggest that by 2050, a million people could live, which is just around the corner. Perhaps both gaziioriors lose a relationship, otherwise they know something that the rest of us refreshing Zillow does not do.

Bezos was equally bulls on other fronts, defending AI’s investment boom as a « good » type of balloon, given that it is « industrial » rather than « financial ».

« There has never been a better time to get excited about the future, » he reports that members of the audience (in our imagination) exchanged uncertain glances in Turin’s audience.
