Newcastle they may have reached the semi-finals of the EFL Cup by beating Fulham at home on Wednesday, but they still have a lot to do with their fans after last Sunday’s dreadful performance at Sunderland.

The Wearsiders were good value for their 1-0 win thanks to Nick Waltemade’s own goal, with Newcastle offering nothing in reply.

The Magpies will have to do much better if they are to send a Chelsea a team that has won its last two, against Everton at home in the league and third division Cardiff City away in the EFL Cup.
