Kane and Kimmich scored a thrilling 3-2 Klasikker victory

Bayern Munich moved 11 points clear at the top of The Bundesliga with a 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker, Joshua Kimmich scored a late winner after a Harry Kane brace.

Nico Schlotterbeck’s 27th-minute header gave Dortmund the lead, but Kane equalized in the 54th minute when he scored first time with Serge Gnabry’s header.

Kane then completed the turnaround from the penalty spot after Schlotterback tripped Josip Stanisic.

Daniel Svensson’s superb improvised volley looked to have won some of the spoils, but Kimmich responded with equal force to settle an enthralling contest in Bayern’s favour.

Elsewhere in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen’s Champions League hopes suffered a setback with a 1-1 draw against Mainz. Jarrell Quansach scored in the 88th minute to rescue a point for Leverkusen.

Third-placed Hoffenheim were surprised 1-0 at home by St. Pauli, while Werder Bremen beat bottom club Heidenheim 2-0. These results mean Wolfsburg drop into the bottom two ahead of their meeting with Stuttgart on Sunday. Borussia Mönchengladbach beat Union Berlin 1-0.

Inter are going back

Amazingly dumped out of the Champions League by Bodo/Glimt in midweek, Inter Milan returned to winning ways, extending their lead at the top of Serie A to 13 points over arch-rivals AC Milan.

A 31st-minute effort from Federico Dimarco and a second-half penalty from Hakan Calhanoglu secured a 2-0 victory over Genoa, extending the Nerazzurri’s already healthy advantage ahead of Milan’s visit to Cremonese on Sunday.

Napoli are 14 points behind Inter after securing a late 2-1 win over bottom club Hellas Verona.

Rasmus Houliund gave Napoli the lead before Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro equalized with a deflected shot. There was a twist in the tale in the 96th minute, however, when Romelu Lukaku sealed victory from close range.

Meanwhile, Como moved within two points of the Champions League places with a 3-1 win over Lecce.

PSG increase the lead

Paris Saint-Germain’s lead at the top of Ligue 1 is now four points after their 1-0 win at Le Havre.

Bradley Barcola’s 37th-minute goal was the difference as PSG put distance between themselves and surprise package Lens, who were held by Strasbourg on Friday.

In La Liga, Atletico Madrid moved up to third in the table after Julián Alvarez’s 94th-minute goal secured a 1-0 win at bottom club Oviedo.

Villarreal was earlier beaten 4-1 by Barcelonawho moved four points clear at the top thanks to Lamine Yamal’s historic hat-trick.

Real Sociedad boosted their European aspirations by beating Mallorca 1-0 to move up to seventh and above Basque rivals Athletic Bilbao, who drew 1-1 at Rayo Vallecano.
