General Motors has made a recall This affects over 17,000 vehicles due to broken rear toe links, increasing the risk of a crash.
General Motors is recalling about 17,050 Buicks due to a rear toe fracture that can cause loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said in its recall report.
Certain 2012-2013 Buick Regal Turbo and GS trim level vehicles that were sold or registered with more than 20 « corrosion » conditions are included in the recall. To be specific, approximately 4,751 2012 Buick Regals and approximately 12,299 2013 Buick Regals.

States « corroded » include Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.
Washington DC vehicles were also involved.

Only about 1% of the recalled vehicles may have a defect caused by the supplier’s lack of corrosion protection.
General Motors said no injuries have been reported in connection with the issue that triggered the recalls, provided Tuesday.

General Motors dealers replace rear suspension toe links and adjuster fasteners at no costs. Owner notification letters are expected in the mail on April 13.
The recall is among several others filed by the automaker since late last month over the same issue.
