The Denver Broncos are upgrading their receiving corps by acquiring Jalen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins

The Denver Broncos completed a deal to acquire wide receiver Jalen Waddle from the Miami Dolphinsaccording to multiple reports in the United States.

Waddle, 27, will undergo a physical with the Broncos tomorrow after a deal was agreed upon that would see Miami receive a first-round pick (30th overall) as well as third- and fourth-round picks (94th and 130th overall). In addition to Waddle, the Broncos will also receive the Dolphins’ fourth-round pick (111th overall).

Waddle will add explosive pace to the Broncos offense, with the team’s strength in recent seasons built around a fearsome defense. Sean Payton’s roster finished with a 14-3 record last year to earn the number one seed in the AFC only to lose the championship game to the New England Patriots.

Recent struggles after a great start

Payton will be hoping that Waddle can recapture the form in which he burst onto the scene in his early years with the Dolphins.

He managed over 1,000 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons at South Florida, but has since struggled, managing 744 and 910 in the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Since entering the league, Waddle has the NFL’s 10th-most receiving yards among wide receivers (5,039) and 11th-most yards after the catch.

He will greatly bolster the Broncos’ receiving corps, which includes Cortland Sutton, Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin, Marvin Mims Jr., Lil’ Jordan Humphrey and Michael Bundy.
