BKL acquires London practice RBS Chartered Accountants

BKL, a UK-headquartered accountancy, tax and advisory firm, has acquired RBS Chartered Accountants in London.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

According to its website, Canary Wharf-based RBS has more than 40 years of experience serving its customers.

RBS partner Ketan Shah said: “Joining BKL is a natural next step for us, giving our clients access to a wider range of expertise whilst maintaining the personal, relationship-driven approach that defines our business.

« As part of BKL, we will continue to support our customers as before, while at the same time strengthening the resources around us as their needs evolve. »

BKL said in a statement that RBS is a « natural fit », adding that its approach is closely aligned with how BKL operates.

The company added that the combination is based on a shared focus on long-term customer relationships and a stronger ability to support customers as their needs change in a rapidly changing and increasingly complex market.

BKL also said that the daily service will remain unchanged and customers will continue to work with the same teams.

In January this year, BKL nominated Kate Gott as corporate tax partner.

The appointment comes after BKL expanded its senior management and technical expertise in 2025, both in the tax team and more broadly in the business.
