Nottingham Forest have the chance to secure a place in the Premier League for next season when they host Newcastle this afternoon.
A win for Vitor Pereira’s men would take them nine points clear of third-bottom West Hamwho will have three games remaining, including this afternoon against title-chasing Arsenal.
Forest also have a significantly better goal difference.
The hosts have been in fine form of late but were beaten 4-0 by Aston Villa on Thursday night in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final.
Newcastle went into the match on the back of a home win over Brighton which ended any fears of being dragged into the relegation battle.
It’s still been a disappointing season for the Magpies, although reports suggest they will stick with boss Eddie Howe for next season.

Morgan Gibbs-White misses out completely as he struggles to overcome the serious facial injury he picked up at Chelsea.
Nottingham Forest: Sells; Morato, Cunha, Milenkovic; Williams, Netz; Dominguez, Anderson, Bakwa, Jesus, Avonii
Lewis Miley is out for the rest of the season with a broken leg sustained in training. Tino Livramento is also unlikely to play again this term while Fabian Schaar is out of form.
Newcastle: Pope; Bothman, Tiau, Byrne, Murphy, Hall; Guimaraes, Tonali, Joelinton; Voltemade, Ossula
The match is played this afternoon at 14:00. It will be broadcast on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League. It will be available to stream via Sky Go.
