Salah’s agent sends a clear message about Fenerbahce speculation

Mohamed Salah’s agent appears to have dismissed claims of a move away Liverpool the star is considering moving to Turkey.

Salah bid farewell to Anfield last month after nine years on Merseyside, in which he scored 257 goals, third all-time for Liverpool behind Ian Rush (346) and Roger Hunt (285).

He won nine trophies during his time with Liverpool, including two Premier League titles and one Champions League crown.

Salah is in North America on world championship with Egypt facing Belgium in the tournament opener on Monday.

But Fenerbahce chief executive Ertan Torunogulari told Fotospor this week that Salah is keen on a move to the Istanbul club.

« He had a great desire to come to Turkey, » Torunogulari said.

« The meetings we held were extremely positive, we had a common language with him on many issues, including his salary.

I believe that if the new management makes such a request, Salah will wear the Fenerbahce shirt.

However, in a post to X (formerly Twitter)Salah’s representative Rami Abbas wrote: « Mohamed is doing perfectly well and neither he nor I prefer to discuss sensitive future plans with people who are not involved in them. »

« Both he and I are very private about these things. Yes, people may ask and they may get a standard polite answer, but that’s about it. »
