Liverpool’s summer plans are in turmoil after Michael Edwards left FSG

of Liverpool summer plans have been thrown into disarray with Michael Edwards, chief executive of football at Fenway Sports Group (FSG), stepping down.

FSG own Liverpool along with Major League Baseball’s Boston Red Sox and they say Edwards has « overseen Liverpool’s soccer operation » since returning to the company in March 2024.

According to FSGEdwards’ departure is part of a planned transition but comes at an inopportune time as the transfer market is set to come alive as the World Cup draws to a close.
