Nottingham Forest celebrate beating Ipswich

Forest “love” Fa Cup says nuno

Notingm Forest Nuno Nuno Espiro Santo says that the FA Cup is a « competition we love » after his country has moved in the last eight with a penalty shootout over Ipswich on the city site.

Forest Brian Clough legend failed to win the famous trophy in his spell – lost the final in 1991 to Tottenham – and it’s 66 years since their last victory.

Ryan Yates’ header provided a draw 1-1, which forced to shoot, and goalkeeper Muts Sels was the hero when he saved Jack Taylor’s efforts.

SSlow to ITV, Nuno said: « The players did the job quite well. We competed well.

« The first half was flat for both teams. I’m really glad that the boys have achieved it and our fans are happy tonight.

« Now it’s a game game. We have Manchester City in the League and then we can focus on the FA Cup. This is a competition that we love and will do our best. «

“A few games and are you in the final”

Goalkeeper Sels dived to the left to protect Taylor after nine flawless punishments and said his country was looking forward to progressing even more.

He said, « I am happy that I could help the team of the next round. It was the only punishment I was in the right corner. Before the game you were studying punishments and I took the wrong corner, but that was right. I’m happy for the team.

« The game was not so good. After all, the extra time is gambling, you don’t want to bet too much. The penalty shootout will be the hero. I’m happy and look forward to the weekend now.

« We know what to do. The FA Cup is really nice. Several games and you can be in the final. «
