Arsenal is ready to open conversations with 18-year-old Ethan Navari for a new long-term contract.
Nwaneri has become a key contribution to the Mikel Arteta team this season, making the club making an improved deal to chase away all potential suitors this summer.
His current contract continues until the end of the 2025-26 season, but Arsenal does not want to act early to hold it.
Andrea Bertha’s arrival as sports director has strengthened the club’s focus on the development of youth by bound Nwaneri to a new deal, which is now considered a major internal priority.
Although no official contract proposal has been made yet, Arsenal addressed NWAneri’s camp to start the process.
A significant increase in wages as part of the new deal is expected. Nwaneri is still on the terms of his first professional contract, which he signed as he progresses through the club’s academy. The new treaty will reflect its rapid development and the growing reputation of one of the most promising young players in Europe.
Although the financial conditions will play a role in the upcoming conversations, the trajectory of NWAneri’s development on the article is also expected to be a decisive aspect of discussions.

The teenager made 31 appearances in this campaign, increasing against the backdrop of a crisis of an injury that removed several of the senior arsenal strikers.
Key players such as Bukayo Saka, Kai Haverz, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus have missed considerable time, opening the door to Navari to gain valuable experience.
In particular, the recent return of a jacket from a four-month absence due to knee surgery has not displaced NWAneri from the squad. The young striker began both Premier League matches after the return of the jacket, although he remained on the bench during the victory of the Champions League of Arsenal over Real Madrid on Tuesday night.
Another young artilleryman, Miles Lewis-Sheli, is also in discussions under a new contract. Conversations with the 18-year-old midfielder are already underway. Lewis-Sheli had a breakthrough year, winning a regular place in the team and impressed on the international scene.
He participated in the first two matches of Thomas Tuchell as the head of England and even made his debut against Albania.
