I had done a bit of a tough group ride last Tuesday so on Wednesday I did a shorter recovery ride which felt great. On Thursday I did a hard upright ride with upright intervals which also went well and then I did some upper body strength. Friday and Saturday were pleasant cruises on my layup. Sunday was a fun longer ride on my upright. The local Willow Heights Mansion, which hosts weddings and other celebrations, opened its doors for our club to visit on Sunday. It was also the day of our club picnic to thank the volunteers for our Tierra Bella event. The picnic was at Mohi Winery. From my house a cruise to Willow Heights, Chesbrough and Uwass weirs to get to Mohi for the picnic followed by a journey home made for a nice route. The picnic was nice because I usually only travel in the southern end of our county so it was a chance to meet people from further north.
I felt great after the ride but had sore legs later in the day so I’m thinking of sticking to shorter upright rides and longer prone rides.
