Form is launching a cheaper version of its smart swimming goggles

Form makes smart swimming goggles that offer better tracking and training than a watch when you’re in the water. Today, the company is releasing a cheaper version of its Smart Swim 2 for people who don’t need all the extra bells and whistles. The Smart Swim 2 LT loses the integrated heart rate monitor found on its more expensive siblings, but is otherwise the same great device.

Hence, buyers get all the same goodies, including the heads-up display and its smart shape monitoring equipment. Plus, you’ll be able to access HeadCoach, Form’s dedicated training and guidance plan to give you the best tools to gain more confidence on the water. Even better, SwimStraight, which keeps you oriented in open water swimming, is now free for all users.

The Smart Swim 2 LT is priced at $149 and is available for purchase now from the Form website and through select retail partners. And at the same time, the company is knocking $50 off the price of its high-end Swim 2 Pros, which have Gorilla Glass lenses and swim without fog. They’ll now set you back $259, while the OG Smart Swim 2s will stay right in the middle of the range, costing $199.
