Serena Williams has confirmed her return to tennis at the age of 44

Serena Williams seemingly confirmed his return to professional tennis at the age of 44.

Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam champion, announced her decision to retire from the sport in 2022, her last match a third-round loss to Ajla Tomljanovic at the US Open.

But reports of her return surfaced last week, and in a post on her X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday, Williams all but confirmed her return.

The post includes a video of her on the tennis court while her phone receives non-stop text messages. The video ends with the caption, « I guess everyone has heard the news. »
